Live in Spain, have 25 yr old Spanish girlfriend. Invited to parents house for dinner. What do I take? Wine?
I am not sure what is appropriate and what would make a good impression, can you help me out?

Why not take something they'll always have with them. Lucky bamboo, maybe.

why does it matter where you live or how old you are? if you are going to her parents house for the first time than make sure you are clean cut and dressed nice and just be your self. some flowers would be nice. but most of all don't lie. and be someone who you are not. parents can always see thru that. good luck

Why dont try to prepar a typical drink, for example "CLERICOT" its a good option, only chop apples, mixing with wine (white or red) and its all... O mejor compra una botella de Vino de Oporto... es exquisito y es una buena idea para algo formal, que tambien todo depende de que es lo que vayan a cenar... Good Luck!!! ;-)

Spanish families are wine drinkers by nature. I do suggest a good spanish wine like RIOJA. If possible, RESERVA. Another option, always appreciated is a box of you local pastries delights. Just pop into a pastry sh`p "PAsteleria" and choose as many different options as you like, and they´ll box and wrap them for you. If you´re still undecided, ask you girlfriend. It´s common to take something so she´ll be you best chance to get it right. But definitly take somethiong. Spaniards are very traditional.
