Does anyone know what one would need to leave america to live in spain? What kind of paperwork, visas etc?

I would imagine the only thing you would need is your passport. But take along your actual birth certificate too.

You should go to the Spanish embassy to get such information.

Ask the Mexicans. They know all about gaining entry to othe countries

Go to Spain Immigration site and do a search you might be lucky to get all the information you need.
