What is the best place to live in Galicia (Spain)?
Would like to retire to Galicia (where my grandparents came from). Looking for ideas on where I could buy a restored stone cottage that would be near to shopping and recreational facilities.

Galicia is Beautiful overall. If you want to live in the near the beach but near mountains and Shopping, then I would try Either Vigo, Pontevedra, And Santiago De Compostela. Santiago de Compostela. (sp?) It is just the classiest place in the area.
